To mark World Down Syndrome Day 2016, Borderless worked with the New Zealand Down Syndrome Association to create 'Dear Future Family, Whānau and Communities'. This video was also part of a broader resource called 'We Welcome Your Baby' - a series of educational videos aimed at new parents of babies with Down Syndrome.

The video features self advocates sharing a message with their families, whānau and communities. The key message is that they enjoy meaningful and happy lives, they are valued members of their families and whānau and they are contributing members of their communities.

The video was inspired by 'Dear Future Mom', a campaign led by CoorDown in 2014.
